How it's measured ›

Every event counts, including those followed by nothing.
Without: games of the same genre with no store event 14 days either side; for videos, the same game two weeks earlier.
Genre: the first base genre among a game's top ten tags. Under 30 events in a genre, no norm.
Wishlists are estimated from Top Wishlists rank; peak players for games with 20+ online.
A coincidence in time, not proof of cause.
Not measured yet: Steam Next Fest (first one with full chart history is October 2026) and showcases (no list of games shown).

Data as of 2026-10-06. Every number comes from Steam’s own public surfaces or is computed from them; definitions are in Metrics.
