Best-sellers · October 2026, to Oct 7
who sold the most copies on Steam · paid games, estimated from reviewsThe 30 paid games that sold the most copies on Steam in October 2026 so far (to Oct 7), by our estimate, out of 9,836 paid games that got at least one review. Left out, though they would have made the list: AION 2, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and 11 more (free-to-play); ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE, Minecraft Dungeons II, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered and 13 more (major publishers).
The month is not over: this counts up to Oct 7, and the last few days are short, because players review days after they buy.

Steam does not publish sales. Copies here are our approximate estimate: the reviews a game got during the month × the typical number of copies sold per review (54× in the middle, usually between 26× and 108×). The ratio varies a lot from game to game, so every figure comes with a range; the order of the list does not depend on it.
Two corrections. Players of games that have been out for years keep reviewing long after they buy, so for games older than three years we count 1.6× fewer copies per review. And a wave of negative reviews far above a game’s usual share, a review storm, is not sales: such games are listed separately.
The list covers paid games. By default it leaves out free-to-play games (they have no copies to count), games from big corporate publishers (SEGA, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, Capcom, Konami, Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, Xbox Game Studios, PlayStation, Bethesda, 2K, Take-Two, Rockstar Games, Warner Bros. Games, CD PROJEKT, NetEase, Tencent, KRAFTON, Nexon, Netmarble, NCSoft, Riot Games, Epic Games, Valve, HoYoverse) and adult games: those players tag Sexual Content, Nudity, Hentai or NSFW, and those Steam hides from guests.
Revenue is gross: copies × the US price on the days they were bought, discounts included, before Steam’s cut, refunds, taxes and regional prices. Top Sellers is the game’s median place in Steam’s US chart over the month. Steam ranks that chart by revenue, so it is an independent check on our estimate.
A month runs from its first to its last day; the current month is shown up to its last full day. Release dates are the ones on the store page: a game that left Early Access this month counts as released this month and is marked 1.0.
